Do you enjoy communicating with people and delivering outstanding customer service? Are you looking for a temporary role with a variety of shifts and working hours for you to choose from? Perhaps you are a student who wants to earn some extra money? Maybe you’ve recently retired and are looking to fill some of your time working for fun or to socialise? Or it could be that you are just looking for full-time or part-time temporary work.

We are currently recruiting for reliable Customer Service Assistants who would like to work for one of the most prestigious railway networks in the world. Working between 18th February 2019 and 8th March 2019, with a variety of early and late shifts for you to choose from. You will receive a competitive rate of £8.00ph and holiday pay.

Based primarily at Exeter St David's station the role of a 'Customer Host' involves:

  • welcoming, directing and protecting customers
  • mobility assistance (e.g. moving access ramps for wheelchair users)
  • assisting with luggage
  • providing information to customers on the spot
  • minor site cleaning and upkeep will also be required

Previous experience in a customer service or customer facing role is ideal and you should be able to communicate confidently and professionally, and present yourself well (white shirt, black trousers, safety shoes required).

There may also be additional ad hoc shifts at local stations for those who are interested and available flexibly on an ongoing basis - these often cover repair/maintenance, staff absences and other popular travel periods.

We also want to hear from you if you have any experience in the following industries: Restaurant and Hospitality, Admin and Office, Sales and Retail, Management, Computer and IT, Entertainment, Travel, Transportation, Logistics, Art, Fashion and Design, and Social Services.

Successful applicants will be contacted for registration and security training. Please note, successful applicants will need to attend an induction on either 13th, 14th, or 15th February 2019.
