Main purpose / objective of the position:
To manage a building / cluster of buildings by optimising the building's income stream by establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with tenants, manage and control personnel, service contractors, repairs, revamps, tenant installations, inspections and general building administration. To contribute towards the development and training of staff within the company.
Decision making authority:
Subject to the mandate as received from Portfolio Management:
1) Total expense account of a building including all repairs and service contracts, Project Management expenses;
2) replacement/selling of equipment;
Takes decisions based on knowledge of theory and systems. Chooses from prescribed rules and policies and works within standards laid down. Operates within budget parameters and Decision framework.
Interprets strategy paid out by Senior Management by applying resources to achieve the objectives outlined in the strategy. Operates within budget parameters and Decision framework.
Experience / Education:
At least 5 years experience in the property / centre management industry. Minimum qualification Grade 12. A Business (marketing) or a property related tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
