This role is office based and the hours are negotiable to suit the right candidate.

Plumbs has been designing and producing quality made-to-measure furniture covers and curtains for over 60 years and with the continued development of our furniture re-upholstery service, we are now firmly established as the UK’s leading re-upholsterer.

Due to the business diversification and growth, we are recruiting for a HR & Payroll Assistant reporting directly to the HR & Payroll Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting across a wide range of administration duties.

You HR & Payroll Assistant role will include assistance and/or responsibility with the following tasks:

• Recruitment process
• Inductions
• End to end processing of employees - new starters through to leavers
• Organising Company events
• Collating information for board reports
• Processing weekly payroll
• Resolving payroll queries
• Knowledge of SAGE 50 Payroll is desirable but not essential
• Other ad hoc duties as required

Experience & qualities required for the HR & Payroll Assistant Role

• Bags of initiative and 'can do' attitude!
• 1+ years working in a busy HR or Payroll department
• Integrity and confidentiality essential
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
• Experience working to deadlines
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
