Customer Service Advisor

Location: Walsham-le-Willows, IP31 3AJ

Salary: £17,000-£19,000 per annum

Hours of Work: 9:00 am to 5.30pm Monday - Friday

About the Company:

Our client was established in 1996, with the launch of the UK’s first ever combined gas and electrical safety inspection carried out by one engineer in one visit giving one report. They provide a wide range of other services including Legionella testing and CO and Smoke alarms, repairs and installations.

Customer Service Advisor Responsibilities:

  • Take incoming calls from customers, tenants and engineers and action in a timely manner
  • Take down orders accurately while on the telephone, ensuring that all the necessary information has been captured accurately to process the booking
  • Administer emails relating to Orders and bookings in a timely manner
  • Accurately input orders onto our bespoke database (ECIS) which could come in via email, fax & phone
  • Ensure client orders / instructions are carried out prior to the expiry date
  • Deal with queries and tasks promptly and efficiently
  • Liaise with customers, tenants, agents and engineers to confirm orders, diary bookings, order parts, etc.
  • Fully understand the products on offer and the pricing thereof and be able to guide and converse with customers and make informed decisions of which product or service will suit the customer best
  • Liaise and assist in managing sub-contractors to ensure appointments are met in a timely manner and the relevant parties are informed accordingly
  • Diary management for a number of engineers ensuring that they have adequate jobs each day and if not chasing up leads and orders not already confirmed
  • Complete monthly order renewal process by printing, collating and mailing to customers
  • Chasing non renewals and reminding customers of the inspection due dates
  • Assist in producing quotation letters and faxes e.g. drafting quote letters, obtaining prices from suppliers, etc.
  • Carry out general office tasks e.g. faxing, photocopying, filing as instructed by the Operations Manager
  • Provide support to the business by covering other Customer Service desks when colleagues are on leave or have other absences

Customer Service Advisor Requirements:

  • Excellent telephone manner i.e. able to communicate clearly and confidently
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Proactive with exceptional organisational skills
  • Analytical and attention to detail a prerequisite
  • Able to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Alert for additional / new sales / revenue opportunities
  • Professional and mature in outlook
  • Ensure operational processes are carried out end to end 
  • Maintain a positive, customer focused outlook even when under pressure or busy
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Software e.g. e-mail, Word, Excel, file sharing, etc.
  • Due to the location of the site you must have your access to transport
