The speed read:
This is a lovely opportunity to be a key part of the communications team at the head office of an educational trust that runs very successful schools across the UK.
You'll be the only designer in the in-house team, so you will need to be good with this. But it's a new role, so an opportunity to make an impact and make the role your own.
Day to day, you will be bringing the brand to life through the design of marketing materials: ads, publications, brochures, presentations. You will be designing for digital too (blogs, social, websites). So you need to be happy to work across lots of different output. You will be happy to learn in new areas, such as film and motion graphics. It's all about attitude.
You will also be working more broadly in the trust, with other stakeholders across the company and in schools, so you will have plenty of variety and meet lots of different people.
There has been a recent rebrand with a new campaign and photography, so this is an opportunity to embrace a new energy in the trust. You will be working to new guidelines, creating templates and you will want to get things consistent and right, but you will have some creative license and a clean design aesthetic. You will be art directing too.
You may brief external agencies for other big picture work, but you will always be working with other non design disciplines around you, so will be good at talking about your work and explaining your thinking.
This role has great benefits: 6 weeks holidays, reduced school fees if desired, regular hours and a positive culture in beautiful offices in Victoria.
It would suit someone who has worked in an agency and wants to bring enthusiasm and pace to a brand side role.
