BWB Consulting has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager within the BBE Structures Design Service.

Based in our Birmingham office, you will have overall responsibility for business development, technical delivery and financial performance and will report to the Operations Director.

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for ensuring projects are appropriately resourced and, where appropriate, identifying opportunities for outsourcing work to the approved Supply Chain or other offices.

Responsibilities will include monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of the team and leading on future recruitment strategies.

A key part of this role will be involving working with the existing account managers across the different disciplines with BWB to widen our offering to both current and new clients.

In addition there will be a requirement to work on a collaborative basis with the wider Structures management team to manage the Service from an operational and commercial business development perspective and see that appropriate focus is given to technical and quality output on behalf of your clients..

About you

The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Technical independence within the field of Structural Engineering design with cost effective but innovative design at the forefront.
  • A visible and participative technical leader, willing and able to take responsibility and be held to account for the technical performance and advancement of the team.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
  • A ‘self-starter’ with drive, positivity and enthusiasm and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Commercially aware with effective influencing and negotiating skills, as well as an aptitude to develop emerging and new client relationships.
  • An ability to help build and develop a strong team through the mentoring and support provided to the team members.
  • Reliable and trustworthy; acts with consistency and integrity at all times.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and oral, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different circumstances.
