What you’ll be doing
Working on the production of the BWB core business monthly management accounts, you will be involved in all levels, from managing accounting transactions and balance sheet reconciliation, balance sheet management to the preparation and completion of month end reporting.
- Working on the production of the BWB core business monthly accounts & annual statutory accounts.
- Managing transaction accounting and reconciliation.
- Balance sheet management.
- Preparation and completion of month end reporting.
- Responsible for the completion of the budget process for the BWB core businesses.
- Responsible for reporting the monthly management accounts and budgets to the ultimate parent company.
- Report on monthly tax position to the ultimate parent company.
- Liaising with the auditors and tax advisors in respect of the year end statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
- Line management & development responsibility for the accounting and reporting team.
- Supporting stakeholders, executive board and budget holders in their financial performance management, interacting with senior level management and the leadership team.
What you’ll bring
- Excellent technical accounting skills.
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), by a recognised body, and have extensive experience in producing monthly management accounts.
- Advanced excel skills.
- Experience working within a busy finance team, delivering to strict deadlines and being responsible for own tasks and reporting outputs is essential.
- Highly skilled in balance sheet creation, management, and group consolidation.
- Friendly and approachable personality to fit into the hardworking team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders of the business.
- Experience in the annual audit process.
- The successful candidate will be driven, proactive and live by the company’s moral values.
