Regional Freight Sales Manager - Kent or Heathrow - VR/19034

Our client, a logistics and freight forwarding company, is looking to take on a Regional Sales Manager for their Dartford or Heathrow office to assist with the development of the sales team.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Manage new business development and new customer relationship activities.
  • Proactively manage relationships with clients, focusing on the Far East Market.
  • Develop and build appropriate relationships, partnerships and alliances.
  • Develop the role with corporate strategy and structures.
  • Work effectively with Product teams and operations to deliver solutions for clients.
  • Prepare reports as required including budgets, business plans and forecasts.
  • Weekly sales report analysis to identify any issues with Southern Region sales team performance.
  • Ensure that all criteria for new clients are integrated into the relevant operational departments.
  • Ongoing monitoring of new client’s trial business.
  • Using CRM to track all contacts with customers and to schedule follow-up activities.
  • Delivering financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; monitoring expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Sales Management, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in your region. As well as communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and enforcing policies and procedures.

Applicants must have Sales experience within the logistics market to be considered. This role has a focus on Asia and a Air & Sea experience.

Hours are 9.00am - 5.15pm, Monday - Friday.
