Seafreight Export Customer Service Clerk - VR/20109

The Company & Role:

Our client, an International Freight Forwarding company, based in Rainham, Essex, is currently recruiting for a Seafreight Export Customer Services Clerk to join their team.

Duties:

  • Arrange freight movement for customers
  • Coordination of shipments with overseas offices and partners
  • Arrange Export shipments for various Key accounts
  • Processing of sales invoices
  • Input of data into the Forwarding Dept. Accounting System
  • Payment and surrender of charges and Waybills/Bill of Lading to Shipping Lines/Agents as required in order to obtain release of cargo
  • Completing Export Customs Clearance
  • Investigate customer queries and resolve them in a reasonable period of time
  • Investigate management queries and resolve them in a reasonable period of time
  • Complying with customer, management and HM Revenue and Customs deadlines
  • Focal point for specific customers
  • Export Quotations

Experience/Skills:

  • Sea Freight Export Experience
  • The polite and effective handling of customers
  • Good telephone manner
  • Teamwork
  • Document presentation
  • PC Skills - Spreadsheets, Word Processing

In Return:

You will receive a salary circa £26k pa. 25 days holiday + bank holidays, Hours 09:00 to 17:00.
